How to Delete Your Account
Follow these steps to request permanent deletion of your indDhan account and all associated data:
Open the indDhan App
Launch the indDhan app on your Android device and ensure you are logged into the account you wish to delete.
Go to Settings
Tap the Profile / Settings icon in the top-right corner of the Home screen, then select Account Settings.
Select "Delete My Account"
Scroll to the bottom of Account Settings and tap “Delete My Account”. You will be shown a summary of what will be deleted.
Confirm Deletion
Re-authenticate using your PIN or biometric (fingerprint/face). Then confirm by tapping “Yes, Delete Everything”. Your account will be queued for permanent deletion.
Can’t access the app? You can also request account deletion by emailing support@inddhan.com from the email address associated with your account. Include “Account Deletion Request” in the subject line. We will process your request within 30 days.
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our servers:

Data Retention Details
Immediately Upon Request
Your account is deactivated and you are logged out of all sessions. You will no longer be able to log in or access any data through the app.
Within 30 Days
All personal and financial data listed above is permanently purged from our primary databases (Supabase PostgreSQL, India region). Encrypted local data on your device can be cleared by uninstalling the app.
Within 90 Days
All backup copies containing your data are purged from our backup systems. After this point, recovery is impossible.
Retained Data (Non-Personal)
Anonymized analytics (e.g., feature usage counts, crash reports) that cannot be linked back to your identity may be retained indefinitely for product improvement. This data contains no personal identifiers.
Legal records: If Indian law requires us to retain certain financial records (e.g., for tax or regulatory compliance), we retain only the minimum necessary data for up to 7 years, as mandated under the Income Tax Act and Companies Act. This data is stored securely and not used for any other purpose.
Important Notes
- Irreversible: Account deletion is permanent. Once processed, your data cannot be recovered.
- Export first: If you need your data, use the Export Data feature in Settings before requesting deletion. Data is available in machine-readable format per DPDP Act 2023.
- Family accounts: Deleting your account removes your data from any shared family budgets. Other family members' data is not affected.
- Knowledge marketplace: If you are a course creator, published content will be disassociated from your profile but may remain available. Contact us to fully remove creator content.
- Processing time: While most deletions are processed within 7 days, we allow up to 30 days to ensure all systems are purged completely.
